World Bank - Uganda, consultants required in hydroelectric sector

The consultants will deal with the design and supervision of works for the construction of hydroelectric schemes.

The Government of Uganda has received a credit from the World Bank's International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of the third phase of the Energy for Rural Transformation Project and intends to use part of the proceeds of the credit towards payment for consultancy services for the design and construction supervision of six pico and micro hydro schemes in various parts of the country.

The consultancy services, for each scheme, will include:

  • carrying out feasibility studies,
  • undertaking environment and
