The general objective of this call for proposals is to produce a globally consistent time series of population by age and sex per country and territory by degree of urbanisation from 1975 to 2100 in line with the most recent UN World Population Prospects and the time series of built-up area and population grids produced as part of the Global Human Settlement Project.

The reach the general objective of the call, the following specific objectives need to be reached:

• Examine different approaches to spatial modelling, include those that are multiscale and/or multi-state, and that are informed by both geography and demography before developing the final model.
